Worst Packing Fails
Here are some of the items that are most forgotten when camping. Follow the link below for details. This article also includes other links for special campouts.
The Worst Packing Fails As Told by Scout Parents and Leaders. My family was very involved in camping. My husband would drive to the troop's meeting place for leaving on the campout. I would bring the vehicle that was going on the trip with the backpacks in the trunk. Then, we would switch cars and all was good.
Here is a basic list to make your camping event successful. Good Luck!

Scout Swim (First) Sundays
Hello Scouts, Leaders, Parents,
The Sacramento Central Y, located at 21st and W St in downtown Sacramento, agreed to allow me to conduct swim tests and MB requirements on the FIRST Sundays of the month, starting Feb 1, 2026.
The overall concept is to help scouts not only be swim tested and qualified for Scout Expo and summer camps but be prepared for aquatics all year round.
Irene Hashimoto will be the scout leader in charge of the first session, but she could use some adult leader help on Feb 1 and any other Sunday sessions, 2 - 3:30 p.m. Please reply back if you or a Swimming MB achieved scout can help, so we can expand this program to other dates/times/locations.
