This information is available in a number of places including this website now.

When a US or State Flag is torn, faded, or has holes in it, it needs to be retired properly which is completed by a special fire. Boy Scout Troop 460 provides this as a community service by collecting any worn, torn flags and holding an annual ceremony to give these special pieces of cloth a proper send-off.

The ceremony is usually held at our Court of Honor in December at the Pleasant Valley Grange. For those who would like to attend, be sure to dress warmly with hat, coat, and gloves.
